How does laser hair removal work?

Our clinic uses a unique LightSheer Desire laser device that uses high-speed vacuum technology to gently pull the skin closer to the laser. The light is absorbed by melanin, the pigment that gives color to your hair, which then heats the hair follicles and permanently damages them to reduce or inhibit future regrowth. After just one procedure, you can expect to see a 10-25% reduction in the amount of hair regrowth. The effect can be maximized if you perform the treatment multiple times with 3-4 week breaks.

What can you expect from the procedure?

Unlike most laser hair removal methods, LightSheer DESIRE contains a ChillTip system, which continuously cools the skin that comes in contact with the laser to reduce any possible pain caused by heat. You will also be asked to wear special protective goggles for the duration of the treatment.

Your skin might feel slightly warm after the procedure and you can expect to see some minor redness and swelling.

How to prepare:

    • Try to reduce the amount of sun exposure before the treatment
    • Avoid waxing and plucking your hair
    • Let your hair grow out for 1-2 days for better results

Who can benefit from laser hair removal?

The procedure shows the best effects on clients with darker hair due to the pigment concentration, however, it works for all skin and hair types. It is an ideal solution for those who are looking to ditch painful waxing and razors and get rid of unwanted hair for good.

However, we do not recommend booking this procedure if you are experiencing any active inflammations on your body, have tattoos, or suffer from varicose veins.

Aftercare:

    • You can apply a cold compress to the area to reduce any irritation or swelling
    • We recommend staying away from sun beds and excessive tanning for a few weeks
