What is Dysport®?
Collagen is a protein, which is responsible for maintaining the elasticity of our skin. Aging gradually reduces collagen production, making it difficult for our skin to recover from folds, created by facial expressions, which leads to the formation of dynamic wrinkles.
Dysport® is a neuromodulator or a muscle relaxer, derived from botulinum toxin type A, which can temporarily suppress contractions of targeted facial muscles, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Unlike similar treatments on the market, it contains milk proteins that act as an accessory protein, prolonging the effect of the treatment. It is also known for more efficient diffusion and better distribution beneath the skin, which makes it perfect for treating larger problem areas with fewer injections.
Available Treatments:
Dysport® is a non-invasive injection treatment, proven to be most effective at reducing larger moderate to severe wrinkles around the forehead area, without changing limiting the mobility of the face. Other areas that can be treated include:
• frown lines
• crow’s feet
• neck bands
Dysport® injections can also be used to achieve a non-surgical face slimming effect, as well as a more lifted look to the face.
The procedure only takes a few minutes with minimal pain and no scarring. Some minor bruising and redness may occur immediately after the treatment, but they usually ease after 24 to 48 hours. Since this is a non-surgical treatment, patients require no downtime and can return to the daily routine almost immediately after the procedure.

This treatment can be used as a measure to treat finer lines and slow down the natural formation of deeper wrinkles as well as visibly reducing existing severe wrinkles.
According to FDA guidelines, Dysport® treatments are not recommended to individuals who are pregnant or breastfeeding and those who have allergies related to cow’s milk proteins.
Results:
You can expect to see visible results 2-3 days after the treatment and the effect may last up to 5 months.
