What is Juvederm® Vollure?
Juvederm® Vollure is a clear hyaluronic acid-based gel, which is injected into the skin to temporarily reverse the signs of aging. What to expect from the procedure?
The average treatment lasts between 15 to 45 minutes, depending on the size of the area being treated. Patients may feel some discomfort and pressure around the injection site, however, the formula contains lidocaine, a widely-used anesthetic, to reduce any painful sensations and make the procedure as comfortable as possible. Patients may experience redness, some swelling, and minor bruising, which usually subside after 14 days. We recommend staying away from taking anti-inflammatory drugs 4 to 5 days prior to the procedure.
How long do the results last?
The effect of Juvederm® Vollure injections is temporary. With optimal aftercare, the results can last up to 18 months, depending on the injected volume and size of the treated area.
Aftercare:
- Avoid strenuous physical activity after the treatment as it can increase healing time
- Try to stay away from excessive heat, such as hot baths and saunas
- Wear full UV protection and try to avoid direct sunlight
- We recommend not wearing makeup products for at least 24 to 48 hours after the injections
